Crazy Days of Summer: with the Bell's

The other day we found ourselves home bound, so once again the clever ingenuity of Landon came to the rescue! The kids creativity and imagination never ceases to amaze me and I love it! Landon took Popsicle sticks (which I always keep in stock, because who knows the vast possibilities of these amazing little pieces of wood ) and hot glue (another key staple in our home) and he made customized swords for each of the girls and himself. Then they proceeded to make sheaths for the swords out of computer paper and decorated them. Landon held a class on how to use a sword properly and the basics of sword fighting. I'm surprised he didn't incorporate charging a nominal fee for his expert services. These homemade swords have provided much entertainment and excitement for the kids. I love how they can manage to make something that provides hours of enjoyment out of just about anything. Sometimes I wish I was more like them!
