"Sick" Friday

Friday morning I was awakened to this: knock on bedroom door, knock, louder knock. Me:"Yes, what it is?" Landon: "I don't feel so good. My stomach hurts, my throat hurts, and I just hurt all over." PAUSE....Me:"O.k. is it that bad, do you think you can go to school?" Landon:"No..." Me:"Alright, go lay down and see if you can get back to sleep." After we took the kids to school Landon and Eden laid on the couches watching "Dora" I decided to get some more shut eye since they were going to rest too. I came out later to find Landon dressed like this:

He was wearing Emma's favorite fluffy pink bath robe given to her by Great Grandma Clinton. I just stared, smiled, and said, "Wow you look really comfy." He answered saying, "Yes I am." It was hard for me not to burst out laughing.

It was an interesting day all in all. I was able to get some pictures of just Eden and Landon and that was a lot of fun for me. They made a fort out of blankets, Landon attempted to make hot chocolate from scratch for the two of them, and also made tortillas with cinnamon, butter, and sugar. I had fun cleaning it all up! Even though Landon really wasn't feeling well Eden sure loved having her big brother at home to pal around with and he was so sweet to her. I enjoyed the day as well and just have to say that even "sick" days can be fun!

We didn't have the chance to get any formal pictures done for Easter. This was Eden's Easter dress. As you can see I did not take a full view picture of the dress. This is why: I taught the Sunbeam class at church on Sunday and let the children cut out pictures of Jesus and the resurrection. Later in Sharing Time I looked down at Eden's dress and was horrified to see a big gaping hole. Wow I guess she had a little too much fun with the scissors. I was told I should sew a flower over the hole and I probably will because I have no idea how else to fix it other than filing it away in the trash. (Note to self, don't let daughter use scissors when wearing Easter dress)
Eden would not be serious for these pic's. She just wanted to be silly. Somehow I managed to get a few more serious looking pictures out of that photo session. Thanks Eden!
