The results are in and it looks like Emma dislocated her knee cap. She is now in an immobilizer for a few weeks and then will follow up with therapy. It could be as much as 5 to 6 weeks before she can play soccer again. Bummer.
Emma survived the MRI, in fact she liked it! She made a new friend Dillon (the MRI tech) and said she wanted to do it again soon. I don't know if you can tell, but she has a smile on her face in the picture. It took about 25 min. where she had to stay still the whole time. Rob and I didn't know she was capable of staying still for so long and on top of that she couldn't talk! Now that is a miracle, for Emma. Rob was able to sit outside of the MRI machine and watch her. He said after about 15 min. her eyes started to close. I'm so glad she was able to relax. I think I would have been claustrophobic. Meanwhile, I had the job of staying in the waiting room where I was able to watch "I Love Lucy" and eat the complimentary candies. It was a lot fun but, they will need to refill the candy bowls. Mmmmmm
