Easter Weekend at the Bell's House

Saturday morning something very exciting happened in our home. Rob replaced our pathetic old worn out garbage disposal with a beautiful, shiny, brand spank'in new Kenmore! It was my Easter gift (along with a gorgeous bouquet of multicolored roses that Emma helped Rob pick out for me) and I am now a happy homemaker once again. I know garbage disposals are somewhat of a luxury by some people's definition, but for me it really is a necessity. I found this out after a long week of not having one. They do make life a whole lot nicer!
With a new garbage disposal in place, our Easter preparations began. We cooked, cleaned, cooked some more, and let the kids dye their eggs. I think they turned out "very purty" this year. It seemed our celebrations revolved around food and the food was delicious! Isn't it interesting the way all of our holidays seem to revolve around food? Anyway, our menu for Easter dinner consisted of: Smoked Brisket (Rob has really figured out this smok'in thing), Greek salad, Bacon Cheddar Biscuits, Deviled Eggs. I realized my kids are crazy about eggs, I lost count how many Eden ate today. I hope she's not sick tomorrow. For dessert we had cinnamon buns and vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. We had fun trading a few goodies with our neighbors. I am thrilled to say I won't be cooking on Monday.
Our church meetings were very uplifting. Lauren gave a beautiful talk on the birth of our Savior in our Sacrament meeting. We had two special musical numbers. They were absolutely beautiful. After church Eden told me they had "Pee Pees" in primary. She got kind of a funny look on her face, and I said, trying not to laugh, "I think they are called "Peeps." She said, "Well they were gross!" I have never met anyone who likes the things, but I have heard, they are good for making S'mores. While Rob and I put the last preparations together for dinner, the kids watched, "The Lamb of God." I love that video. It really makes you understand what really happened during the Atonement, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I am so thankful for the knowledge and testimony that I have of Jesus Christ. I know He lives and cares for each one of us. He knows our struggles and our joys. I know He wants the very best for each one of us. When life gets hard we just have to reach out to him and He will be there waiting. We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter as well. Love, Beth and family.
