Sometimes being in a Branch instead of a ward is a really wonderful thing. For instance: the line is shorter when waiting for the food, you know when someone new shows up, and you don't have to worry so much about making a fool out of yourself because we really are just like "one big family." (trust me on this, I've had plenty of practice this year)
This year's Christmas party was a lot of fun and the entertainment, if I do say so myself, was top notch! Myself and some other ladies were asked to present a skit about an old lady who dreamed of spending three days with a real family for Christmas since she didn't have one of her own. It was really fun to do!
Rob was behind the camera all night, thus no pictures of him! He got a lot of great pictures especially of the children who were filled with the spirit and magic of Christmas. Of course there was a special visitor at the end of the night who let just about everyone sit on his lap including the missionaries who gave him a Book of Mormon.
We really do love our little branch and have made some pretty great memories over the last two and a half years. It has a very special spirit. The building we're in is tiny and we are literally bursting at the seams, but I wouldn't trade these times we've had for anything.
