A little bit of everything

It's been too long since my last post to talk about everything that's been going on here in the Bell household, but here are just a few things:
The kids put together a little skit about the Nativity. They did it all themselves! On Christmas Eve we had the missionaries over and they performed it for them. It was really sweet!
One of the days over Christmas break the kids made sugar cookies and decorated them. We left a plate full for Santa and he nearly gobbled everything, just leaving behind a few crumbs.
We spent some time at my parents during the break and also on Christmas day. Landon decided to make his own Santa beard out of Grandma's bath soap! My parents also surprised us by adopting a new puppy. He is so adorable! We had so much fun snuggling "Buddy" and playing with him. It looks like we are finally going to have to hold true to our promise to the kids and get a dog as well!
One of our Christmas traditions is to have a picnic for dinner by the Christmas tree. We are supposed to eat foods they would have eaten during Christ's lifetime, but some of us are a little picky. I made chicken cacciatore which is one of Rob's favorites and we had sparkling apple cider. We have had a lot of fun this winter playing games, going on hot chocolate runs, parties, movies, decorating the house, gift giving, and most of all spending time with family. Thanks everyone for making this season a special one!!!
