Back to the 1980's

Lauren was invited to a birthday party where everyone dressed up "way back from the 1980's." Rob and I had to laugh because we remember the 80's pretty clearly and it wasn't really that long ago for us! We told Lauren to ask Aunt Dorias, Aunt Amy, or several of her Young Women leaders at church what they wore "back then." We had some fun at their expense!!!
It ended up we did not have a lot of time to put in to this, but we pulled what we could out of her closet, accessorized 80's style, and ratted some hair. She looked pretty darn good.
It was a lot of fun and all of the girls at the party enjoyed going way back to the glory days of some of their parents! It also helps that 80's clothing and style seem to be making a comeback into today's teens closets whether they realize it or not. Just last week Lauren and I saw shiny gold tight pants at Dillard's on one of their main juniors clothing displays! We had a good laugh!
