Success

I love my husband, but every year around his Birthday I ask him what he would like and he never gives me any ideas. This is a problem because as wives we want to please our hubbies, and be the best wives we can. So this year I was thankful when I remebered a time a while back when Rob and I were at at Lowe's and he was practically drooling over an electric smoker! I knew this was the gift I had to get him! I know birthdays aren't all about the gifts, but in the last couple of years I feel like I have have kind of missed the mark. This year was a success!!! Rob LOVED his gift and was like a kid in a candy store. He lovingly unwrapped the smoker, put it together, and proceeded to make plans about the first thing he was going to cook in it. That night we went to one of his favorite restaurants, Texas de Brazil with our family, my parents, and Rob's parents. It was a really fun treat for the family, (Eden fell asleep at the table)but I think Rob was just as excited to get home to his new "baby." Saturday night he started the process of smoking a brisket. He went out about every five minutes to check on it. But it was worth it because Sunday we ate a delicious meal of smoked brisket and I have to say, I think we will all bebefit from the success of Rob's Birthday gift. Now the question is, "what to smoke next and what do I get him for his next B-day?"
