Yesterday, as we were driving to the city pool, it started to sprinkle. We were so excited because we haven't had rain, as most of you know, in well- I can't remember when it rained last. It stopped sprinkling, so we went and had fun at the pool, all the while watching the clouds for any sign of moisture. It was cloudy for the rest of the day and we kept praying that it would in fact rain. Then it happened, our prayers were answered and it thundered and poured for most of the night! When I woke up this morning the kids were so excited about the rain and so was I. Emma and Landon got their old clothes on and went outside to celebrate and play in the puddles, mud, and sprinkler. I shot a few pictures and then quickly went inside because Landon was getting pretty wild with the water. I am happy to see their joy and enthusiasm for prayers answered!
In other news, Lauren will be going to her fist Stake dance. In our church they have dances for youth 14 yrs. to 18yrs., a couple times a month. I was telling Lauren how I can remember my first Stake dance. My sister convinced me to go with her and I ended up having so much fun. It was special to have her there with me. It really doesn't seem all that long ago. I am excited for Lauren and this next phase in her life!
Finally- have you ever played the game Blokus? It's a strategic game and our family has really enjoyed it. It's been a fun pass time in this extra hot weather where we have had to spend time indoors. We love to play games in our family and you might just enjoy this game too!
