Merry Christmasing

Tonight we had the chance to do what I like to call, "Christmasing." This means spreading some
love and holiday cheer to others. Saturday Emma and I made up these
little potpourri kits to give to neighbors and some ladies that I Visit Teach.
Of course I found the idea on pinterest! They were simple and fun to make.
They were even more fun to give away!

We all bundled up and got ready to go to the neighbors. The kids were so sweet about it. It was really
cold out today. It starting to really feel like Christmas. We even had a little sprinkling of snow this morning! We love to do something like this every year. I love Christmas traditions! Emma loved running ahead of us while we followed behind trying not to freeze. Eden sang a few verses of some Christmas songs along the way. She is really enjoying the Christmas music this season.

When we came home I knew we would be really cold, so I put together a mini hot chocolate bar. We had Coldstone hot cocoa with marshmallows, chocolate chips, and sprinkles of candy cane. Emma put the canes into a plastic bag and hammered away at them. It's a really nice way to get out some aggressions! She really enjoyed this part and the cocoa was so good with the peppermint.

Enjoying hot cocoa & some love.

The recipe for the Christmas potpourri :
1 medium orange
1/2 cup cranberries
3 cinnamon sticks
whole cloves
grated nutmeg
1 sprig rosemary
Quarter the orange and put all the ingred. into a saucepan. Fill the pan with water
Place on the stove on the lowest setting. Refill the water as needed
and enjoy the scent of Christmas as it fills your home.
